Well, to start with, there's no way he could keep up with Jimmy Page and John Bonham. He's a better songwriter (and arguably better guitarist) than he is a bassist. I remember hearing bass in like three Queen songs when I listened to their whole discography.
He's not one of the best IMO, but to imply that his bass playing is somewhat unremarkable? I think that's a hell of a stretch, especially when your argument is "i dIdN't hEaR It".

I think my issue lies in Queen’s big productions with their ginormous number of overdubs, aside from the bass hidden in there at a low volume. I hear Deacon a bit better these days, and I’ve come to appreciate his playing a bit more.
A lot of my old posts with lists or various opinions in threads like these are crap, to be fair. Still, don’t expect me to start salivating over John Deacon’s bass licks because of a snarky forum post.
